For the third year Brio Integrated Theatre has been providing internship opportunities for students and young adults of all abilities. We believe that training young people in the necessary skills needed for success in the workforce is key in becoming a productive and healthy adult. Our interns brainstorm and collaborate with each other on creative projects, and can even pitch and direct a project that they want to work on.
Upcoming projects include:
- Leila and Sophie: working on music video “Perfect”. They are learning how to use a camera and work with sound at WinCAM and then all aspects of filmmaking with Margo Attaya. They have already developed the music video with storyboards. Once trained on equipment, they will start filming on location.
- Sara: will be writing a story about herself and working with food, is servesafe certified and looking forward using her cooking skills in a soon upcoming project with Brio.
- Erin: is rehearsing for the main character in a play that we will present in early summer of 2018. She also acted in our movie “The Portal”.
- Troy: is working on a Holiday Greetings card for Brio, and is developing his own Anime character that he will be making a new series with.
- Nick: co-scriptwriter of ‘The Portal” and actor, now is interested in writing and telling a story through a graphic novel or comic book. He is quite the talented guy.
- Billy: is working on his own original table top game.
- Will: wants to create his own unique characters using Legos.
