Week long Acting Improv Workshop for Teens, ages 13-17
In this week long workshop, students will explore the concepts and skills of improvisation through games and exercises which will culminate with a showcase/open class to family and friends. This class encourages students to become more spontaneous, creative, playful, and imaginative, all while developing valuable theater and interpersonal skills. Each daily class is 3 hours.
The Teen Acting Improv class will provide individual attention from experienced coach and actor Timothy Leahy. Timothy has worked with youth and teens professionally for many years.
No experience required.
Limit to 10 participants
Timothy is a psychotherapist with a private practice in Waltham and a trained actor. He studied acting in New York City and has acted with The Steps Theater Company in New York & Boston, The High Rollers Improvisational Comedy troupe in New York, Boston’s Full House Improvisational Comedy troupe. Recently he performed in The Real Me play by Joseph Sorrentino at The Luna Theater in Lowell and Arts at The Armory in Somerville. Tim also teaches acting, improvisation and standup comedy to children and adolescents. He has also done a variety of musical theater performances.
