WHAT IS NIA ?
Nia : neuromuscular integrative action = body- mind movement /somatic fitness : A practice that was developed in the mid 1980’s and has evolved into a solid integrative: body mind spirit emotion filled practice.
Nia technique : using sensation to guide your movements.
A Nia workshop includes dance arts (like jazz), martial arts like Tai chi / Qi gong & Taekwondo, Healing arts like Yoga & Alexander technique, and freestyle dance, and Alice sets this workshop to great world music including West African that will energize and delight you and leave you with a smile on your face!
Please wear loose and comfortable clothing – nia is done barefoot, no shoes. Class starts at 11am, register at door starting at 10:30am.
