Sahar Ahmed of Brio Integrated Theatre will be leading workshop at the The REAL Legacy of Teaching Institute for Early Childhood Educators featuring the 2015 theme “Harold and the Purple Crayon Meets STEAM”. The Keynote presenter Todd Bol, founder of The Little Free Library Movement.
Her workshop is “Imagine! Arts in our Educational Journey” Integrate arts and the community on your journey with children. Help children of all abilities imagine and reach for their infinite potentials in this inspirational, interactive experience with movement, music and expression.
2015 marks the 60th anniversary of the timeless children’s classic, Harold and the Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson. STEAM is the initiative to strengthen the subjects of science, technology, engineering, arts and math in our education. Workshops include the Little Free Library Movement and subjects such as, What if Harold Could Tweet?, Harold Learns How to be a Friend, and Journey through the Harold Series.
