Adventures in Art for Children on the Autism Spectrum

Class Description: Precious Materials and Embellished Objects
What can you learn about a civilization from embellished objects and jewelry? What can objects tell us about how people lived and what they valued? Let’s discover jewels and precious materials from around the world.

Project: Create your own necklace, keychain, or accessory using beads, gemstones, and twisty wire

For kids with Autism Spectrum Disorders, ages 6 – 8 and 10 – 12.
Artful Healing and Beyond the Spectrum offer a specially designed program
for Autism Spectrum, including Asperger’s Syndrome, accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
* Upon arrival children will be divided into groups by age and/or needs.
