ASL Intermediate Classes – Winter 2016

Intermediate ASL Course with our ASL teacher, Ali Schmalenberger, who will take you to the next step in learning this visual expressive language – American Sign Language. This course is for people who have basic understanding of ASL.
Free and open to the public, all ages and abilities. Limit 10 participants.

Ali SchmalenbergerAli is a state-certified ASL teacher and interpreter and she is currently teaching at Beverly Public Schools.She is involved in the local deaf community, always expanding her knowledge of the culture and language. She has a Master of Education in Mathematics and has tutored and taught in a variety of subjects since 2004, but tends to focus on Mathematics and Science. She has found her passion for teaching and is eager to share any knowledge she can with the community.

Ali is also the founder of Learn Something, a small company focused on education in the local community. Ali hopes to not only share her own knowledge, but also help other teachers share theirs. Ali hopes that Learn Something will become the place that students and teachers come to in order to find each other and work together, in addition to being a resource for those looking for other avenues of education.
