On April 2nd, local organizations, businesses, schools and residents came together for the 2nd annual lighting ceremony at the Town Common to show support for the Global Autism Awareness Campaign “Light It Up Blue” lead by AutismSpeaks. Balloons and nice weather had the children climbing the tree and having fun. Brio participated in the Light It Up Blue ceremony at the Winchester Town Common for Autism Awareness Month as part of our effort to promote awareness in our community. We would like to thank the new coffee house, Roast Coffee Company for joining us that day and for bringing us their wonderful hot coffee and Dunkin Donuts for bringing their delicious blue donuts!
For the month of April the lights on Main Street and Mount Vernon Street in the town center were lit blue for autism awareness. The event was sponsored by the Winchester Disability Access Commission, Brio Integrated Theatre and the Winchester Multicultural Network.
